Default Hobby King 2.4 ghzreceiver

Just wondering if anyone has tried the VERY economical Hobby King 2.4 ghz receiver? Is this compatible w/ Spektrum, Ko Propo or Futaba modules?

I read that part. I was just wondering if someone on the forum has tried it with another system, and if it was compatible.

None of these are - each company uses a slightly diff way of working (otherwise there would be patent probs) so they won't interchange.

Only exception is when some is re-badging rcvrs made by someone else - sometimes those will work with the company 2.4 radio.

For example the Losi ones uses Spektrum.

A radio that IS compatible with those receivers is cheap. I have read positive things about the radios and have one coming from hobbypartz.com

http://www.hobbypartz.com/fs-g3-24ghz-radio.html

For 65 bucks it should get the job done.
