http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/2183/dsc00033xiy.jpg
Its was running fine for years but not yesterday after it halted and took it home for check up. I'm runing on duratrax vendetta 1/18 truggy. Have never gone over heat because the gear and speed are very much stock and warm. At home i dismantle and tested each parts of the electronics to a substitue rc models of exact same spec and electronic component to narrow down the problem. Yes it was MAMBA 25 ESC was the problem. I tear open the protective layer of plastic shrink wrap cover so i can check the circuits for any fault and short circuit. Test: -------------- 1. ESC + LIPO = functional, the light blinking, no overheat 2. ESC connect to USB for computer tuning = alive, i can still do some tuning in windows. 3. ESC + LIPO + MOTOR = functional, the light blinking, no overheat 4. ESC + LIPO + MOTOR + RX =IN 1 SPLIT SECOND IT HEATED LIKE BOILING KETTLE AND ALMOST BURNED MY HAND WHEN I TOUCH THE FET CHIP! 4. ESC + LIPO + RX =IN 1 SPLIT SECOND IT HEATED LIKE BOILING KETTLE AND ALMOST BURNED MY HAND WHEN I TOUCH THE FET CHIP! *Even when i had my M11 Tx on and off. Still remain the same. My RX module SANWA M11 2.4Ghz run ok with my other spare sets of MAMBA 25 and Sidewinder ESC. It seems the esc have problem connecting to rx. I wonder if anyone had similar problem like this? Thanks. Below are my spec: --------------------------- -MAMBA 25 brushless esc -Turnigy 2700kv 370 size brushless motor -49T spur/ 14T pinion (excellent loose binding) -Sanwa 2.4Ghz rx -Rhino 25c 1800mah 2s lipo -Hitec HS225MG servo. |
I've not read about any known glitches with any 2.4ghz rcvrs.
I'd give Castle a call and see what they can tell you. You mighthave a prob with the esc. I run 6 Mamba 25s and none have probs like this. |
