Soldering to ESC board

I recently from the power wire on my Mamba max esc board(wire that goes from the battery). When I try to solder it back in place, the solder does not want to stock to the board at all. I am using Radio Shack 60/40 standard Rosin core. Do I need the solder made to computers?

I think the solder thats on the board is lead free and will not easily work with rosin core. You should melt it and remove it and clean the area where you're trying to solder the power wire back on. Something like alcohol should remove any residue after you've wiped away the old solder. Also use some soldering flux.

The mamba boards tend to suck up a lot of heat which also doesn't help with soldering on them, you need a good soldering iron with plenty of heat.

You need to send it to Castle for repair (if they take it now). Soldering to the board is not a good idea unless you have a lot of knowledge in this area.

Had a similar issue with my Mamba ESC. Castle told me they use liquid solder on the board and if you are unsure as Marzac2 said Castle said to send it in to them.
