Noob help - ESC Forward/Reverse ... plz
 

Hi all,

New to the world of RC so please be gentle!!

I have just built my first ever RC car which is a "Hot Bodies Cyclone S drift". The build went well and really enjoyed it!!...got the motor in ok, meshed the pionion gear ok ... all the elctrics went in ok... switched it all on ... and it works!! Amazing! Only trouble I have is that when I push the stick forward the car goes backwards!! Steering servo fine. left is left & right is right!

On further investigation I relise that you have to setup the ESC to match the throttle movement... forward & reverse. Except for some reason... I can't get mine to flip so that when I push forward the car goes forward!!

The ESC is "etronix probe12" which is a rebadged "Tazer 12T Forward/Reverse ESC"

I have tried and tried again to program the ESC but still no joy!!

Is there something obvious I have missed or is it faulty?? Would I have installed something wrong in the car??

Try reversing the throttle channel on your radio.

WOW!! It worked!! It must be painful when someone like me comes into the forum :)

The test seems to be working ok... will give it a good work out tomorrow.

No prob, glad it was what I figured!!

And don't worry, places like this exist to help. We were all where you are at one time or another - at the beginning!!

You could have also just switched the motor wires.
