Is this the best balance block? I'll be running the checkpoint tc-1030 and charging an smc 5200 lipo.

Yes, SMC uses the JST-XH type balance connection, thats the one.

I bought my Hyperion chargers and all the balance adapters from them and a few Hyperion bl motors. They're 1st rate in my experience.
