ExtremeLink 2.4g system, good or bad?

I am after some advice.I am looking at buying one of these modules/receiver systems for my radio. It is used and the price seems right.
Anyone know much about them? How do they compare with spektrum?

wat tx u using? I had the extremelink on the evo9. Personally i had no issue but few of my flying buddies said they got into lock out. i don't do 3d either so i can't comment much on the relaiablity.

There is another Assan hack module which you may want to consider.

It comes in a JR-R1 radio for rc cars. I have been told it is good but sometimes is hard/slow to bind.

Thank you

That is the same system. Thanks for the link.
In the guide it mentions you must keep the antenna wire away from metal including carbon fibre. Two of the cars it will be used with are all carbon fibre and alloy. Will it still work ok?

I used to have it for aircraft, and my main reason for getting it was the ability for telemetry. Unfortunately this feature never really materialized, so I switched to Spektrum (aircraft) as more BNF kits started coming out. I still believe that XPS has one of the better products out there (most of the recent offerings are user programmable/upgradable), but the lack of telemetry and tiny receivers was the reason for me not sticking with it.

My heli is full CF and bling, didn't have any problem. My antenna is also like a stud. Not the wire type.

It's always safe to do a range check before running anyting and make sure fail safe is on when signal is lost

Thanks for the help. I am sure it will be great. I will definately do a range check but it only has to reach about 40yards. The only sygnal problem I think I will have is between my brain and hand. :) Hopefully I will find out soon as it's on it's way.

Thanks again for everyones help

Terry
