Can't Program my ESC
I have a electronic rustler, had it a year ago. Well I decided to fix it, took it to the hobby shop had to get some wires soldered(sod-er-ed), then my esc was bad, so I had to get a new one, they gave me the TAZER 12T, I paid 160 for everything including a 4500 mi battery. Well it was working fine, for 5 minutes, lol. My batt. was low so I charged, I let it cool, put it in the car, turned everything on, worked fine, so I drove it out my back door(slowly of course) shut the door, put it on the drive way took a 360 turn then hit the throttle, nothing, nothing happened. Took the body off and I think its the ESC, I called my hobby store they said I needed to re-program it, they said after market ones you need to do it every once in a while. Well I did what the instructions said and it won't work, like everything, put no power to motor. PLEASE tell me exactly what to do. I will write below what the instructions say.
Instructions 1.)Turn on the transmitter's power switch.(Be sure the transmitter batteries are fully charged) 2.)Turn the ESC switch on. 3.)Press and release the set up button. The Red and green LEDs will light. 4.)Move the throttle to full throttle position and press the programming button. The green LED will remain lit and the red LED will go out. (If the ESC does not sense throttle movement with in 3 seconds by the transmitter, it will exit the programming mode and you will have to begin again.) 5.)Now move the throttle to full reverse and press the programming button. The red LED will glow and the green LED will go out. 6.)Return the throttle stick to neutral and press the programming button. The green LED will glow and the red LED will go out, indicating programming mode complete. During normal operation, the green LED indicates neutral and the red LED indicates full forward and reverse. IS there anything else I need to do? I have tried this at least 20 times. |
I'd take it back. The hobby shop I worked in, everyone we sold came back defective within days. All 10 of them.
Also try reversing the throttle channel. Sometimes that does it. |
