Traxxas servos

Anyone else having problems with the traxxas waterproof servos? I have went through 3 in the last week. All with the same problem being chewed gears. I really like them but this is getting exspensive. Too bad the stock AE is so slow

When I raced a Slash I never had any issues with the stock servo. If you are set on using their servo I would keep the receipts and notify Traxxas about the issue. Traxxas has taken care of several people that I know when they had problems with their products and one time it was clearly the users fault.

I've trashed 3 in the last 2 weekends. The first one snapped the external part of the drive gear right off. I replaced it and then I stripped the teeth off of the lower half of that same gear on both servos in the same crash.

Thats exactly what happened to these. Problem is I haven't crashed. I think its from the big jump on the track. Wish they had metal gears in them.

I just switched to an inexpensive metal gear high torque digital servo and went to a single servo set-up but I'm not overly happy with this either. The horn was flimsy so now I'm waiting on my alloy horn to show up and give it another try.

I put a traxxas 2075 in my touring car just temporarily since I had a new one laying around. It lasted about one hour before the gears were completely chewed up. I had the servo saver set the same as for my 10 year old futaba s3003 which had lasted forever until the case was destroyed in a crash. The mini sized one in my 1/16 revo is still going though (knock on wood).
