A Traxxas Receiver with a Futaba Radio
 

I have a very old Futaba Magnum radio that needs a receiver. Will a Traxxas AM receiver do the job?

As long as the band and Mhz are the same it'll work. Just add matching crystals and you'll be fine.

So if you've got a 75 Mhz AM transmitter you'll need a 75 Mhz AM receiver.

Should work, Futaba makes a lot of the radios for TRX.

You still have to have AM tx with a AM rx and same with FM. The crystals also have to be the same modulation (AM or FM) and the same channel. The crystals have to be a matching pair also, tx and rx from same manufacturer. I've had no luck mixing brands and getting that to work.
