ESC Resistance

Hey all,

How important is the internal resistance spec on ESC's? Would I notice an upgrade from .0012 to .0004 ohms?

Bench racing a single spec can be problematic… What 2 ESCs are you trying to compare, and for what application, motor & car?

In this case, let's compare the Novak Havoc vs. the Havoc Pro. The Pro seems about the same but with less resistance. The application would be a 17.5 or 13.5 in an SC10.

You likely wouldn't see a significant difference in performance from the on-resistance alone, but the pro version with lower resistance would likely run cooler and will allow you the option for a lower turn motor if you need it in the future.
