Castle Link question

I was thinking of putting a Y splitter to the ESC connection so I have an extra jack to get to for the castle link, and not need to pull open the radio box on my Ve8 every time I wanted to adjust something. Was going to flush the connector in the side of the box for easy access.

Anything possible that can go wrong? I don't think the 5v output from the USB threw the castle link would affect the Rx, but who knows......

I don't see any reason that should be a prob (good idea btw, may do it on my Flux). If the open plug bothers you, plug it with a dead servo end so nothing can get in there and short things out. Given the environment a buggy runs in, that may be a good way to keep conn clean anyway.

It was tried with the tekin hotwire, and the receiver and steering servo pulled more current than the usb port could provide.

When you use the Castle link, everything is off, batts not even hooked up. This is just for the convienece of not having to dig into radio box every time you want to change esc settings.
