Changing over to DX3S - Binding Issues

So I upgraded my radio from the DX3 to the DX3S. I have 3 receivers currently. All three were bound to my DX3. Last night I went to the track with a friend. I sold him my DX3 as I am now using my DX3S. I bound my truck to my new radio and he was using my old radio (which was at one point bound to the truck I was running). Long story short we were getting some major glitches from the two radios. With his the receiver would all of the sudden turn off. Mine would glitch in the steering and everything.

I was reading and it doesn't seem like you need to unbind a radio/receiver but I have no idea why it would be acting that way. When he turned his radio off mine worked fine. It just doesn't make sense why his would just turn off. The radio and receiver he was using worked perfectly fine before. Was hoping someone could give me some tips here. It just seems as though the old radio is remembering the receiver I was using and wanted to communicate with my receiver rather than his. I went through the bind process a few times and it just didn't seem to work.

Thanks in advance.

Couple tips and some questions:

Do not bind the radios to the receivers at the same time

Make sure you have your antenna as high up on the chassis as possible

Double check your connections to make sure there's not a loose pin or something worn

What receivers are you each using?

We are using SR3000 receivers. The receiver he was using actually was mine. It was already programmed into the DX3 and the receiver I was using was previously bound to his controller as well. I re-bound my receiver to my new radio but I'm not sure if the radio he was using still remembered the receiver or not. It was really odd. I think I might call Spektrum and see what they say.

As for the other things you mentioned the antennae were all up and I was making sure to bind them separately.
