First Lipo setup
 

Hi all,

About to build a pro-d spec r, will soon be looking for longer run times, but mainly after better weight distribution with the lighter, superior li-po pack.

I like the sound of yeah racing 3200 packs, they seem good bang for buck and light (210g).

Not sure about chargers though, I was looking at The Hot Power H6016 on RC-Mart.. Opinions?..Will it be reliable and do the job well?

Bare in mind that I'm in Australia.. Would I be fine to buy a power supply here in Australia?

Prices seem a little cheaper on HobbyCity. They sell Turnigy lipos which seem to be pretty good based on feedback here. Many have them, but you'd have to compare dimensions and weight to see how comparable they were to the YeahRacing 3200s you were looking at.

HobbyCitys power supply is cheaper, but its not 180watts which is way overkill PS for a 50watt charger.

Thanks for the info, but I'm now leaning towards a better charger.
What is the consensus on Hyperion chargers? Namely the 0606i with external power supply... I can buy them new in aus for $130 AUD.

Is Hyperion based in China?

They're good chargers, I have two of the older 0610iNet chargers and they've been solid even using them to charge at the max rate of 10amps.

They released a new version of the 0606i, the EOS0606i-AD-C in October so its been improved. Here is Hyperions support page - can dnload and review manuals here and see what they say about t hem. Hyperion is based in Hong Kong.
