old futaba 3pdf
 

I have an old futaba 3pdf radio, I cannot figure out how to reset everything back to factory defaults. The manual doesn't say anything and I searched the internet but didn't find an answer, I don't even know if it is possible. There are 4 buttons on the front of the radio to the right of the wheel, between two of them it says "RESET" in red. I've tried combinations of holding the buttons down and everything but nothing is resetting it.

Also, the manual says it has mechanical ATL so you can adjust the trigger, but I don't have a screw in mine and I don't understand how it works. I must be missing a part or something because all I see in the adjustment hole is something that a screw can go into but it doesn't do anything when I put a screw in and I just don't see how it works. If anyone knows about this please let me know.

I have a slightly younger 3PJS that was made after the 3PDF. The reset on mine functions by going to a particular function and the pressing the two buttons above and below 'reset' simultaneously for 1sec. It then resets that function only. I'm guessing this is the way yours works too. My 3PJS has a separate model reset (that is not a complete reset like a 3PK does) that listed in the radio as "RES .MDL". I don't think yours has one at all, at least I didn't see it in the 3PDF manual.

There is a screw missing for your ATL - there's supposed to be one there already. ALl thats said about it seems to be on pg8 in the manual. Sorry can't be of more help. Maybe try and call Futaba about getting teh right scew? They have a number listed on any Futaba ad on Tower hobbys site.
