5000 - 40C or 5400 - 25C?

i need a larger battery for my corally phi. i am currently using the orion 3800 30c pack and it just fits under my top deck. i need to get a larger battery and a lipo tray to go with it, so a guy at my track is offering me these two choices. what he mentioned is that even though the 5400mah pack has a lower C rating, it holds the voltage longer since it has a higher mah rating. is this true?

right now, i run a 10.5 on a fairly large track and within the last lap or so i dump. i already geared down to get about an extra 30 seconds, should i lower my low voltage cut off?

(i am running a tekin RS)

edit:

just remembered orion is coming out with a 5000mah 40c and 5400mah 40 pack...any idea how those are going to be?

40C batteries are large and heavy. I run stock 2wd buggy and stock truck and found that 5200 40c has less punch then my 4100 24c packs. I would recommend the 5400 25c. They are fit better, and usually weigh less.

He runs a touring car, if that makes any difference.

Dave, I think you will get much more responses if you post this in the electric onroad forum.
