help with transmitter/receiver compatibility

Quite new to rc and just bought a used Futuba Magnum 2PL FM.
Anyway i'm looking to buy a few more cheap receivers to use in other cars.
Will the Airtronics 92836 work? It is fm and 75mhz.
I've read some stuff about pos and neg shift. Is it just backwards wiring?

Thanks, Pete

Airtronics is compatible with JR. I'm not sure what Futaba is compatible with but it definitely doesn't work with Airtronics.

The positive and negative shift thing has to do with the signal transmission and cannot be switched by changing a couple wires around unfortunately.

ok thanks. It was the servos that needed switching now that i think about it.

The phase shift only matters for 75Mhz FM. All others are compatible. For 75Mhz FM, Futaba and Hitec are compatible since both use negative shift. Airtronics (Sanwa), KO, JR use positive shift. You can't mix Futaba and JR if you're running 75Mhz FM.
