2 chargers, 1 power supply?????
Im getting a new lipo charger setup and i want to have two chargers on one power supply. Id like to know how many amps im goin to need from a power supply to run to max 5 amp chargers? I would also like to know some good $40 to $70 dc lipo chargers. Ive been looking at the peak pro prodigy 2, the triton jr and the turnigy chargers.
Thanks Ryan

Personaly to run 2 chargers at a full 5 amps (10 amps total) I would want at least a 15 amp power supply. For a charger to put in 5 amps it's actually going to pull somewhere around 6 amps, give or take, form the PS which is going to put you at about 12 amps +/-. Even that's going to work a 15amp PS a little hard in my opinion.

I was looking at 20-25amp ps so they should work ok. Thanks racer1812.

Its going to be hard to beat the Turnigy Accucel-6 for value and what it can do. Its a 50watt output charger an as long as you're charging 2S, you'll never hit its output powere limit. There will be current limiting charging 3S and higher cell counts. The Accucel-6 will charge to 6S, but it will take longer since the charge current is limited to stay under the charger's power limit.
If you're doing 3S and up routinely, look at the Accucel-8, its a 150watt charger and will not be as limited as the 6.
