Default Any affordable ROAR approved 2S lipo's available?

I need to find some good quality lipo's at a reasonable price that are ROAR approved. I have three ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 2S1P 30C hardcase packs on the way but they are not approved for racing. These will be used primarily for carpet racing.

If you have any suggestions and / or links it would be most appreciated.

I dont think ROAR and affordable go in the same sentence, at least it sounds funny anyways.

Its really too bad HC doesnt get their heads out of their butts and get those lipos approved. They have the best deals in RC, why not get them in more hands?

I thought the RFIs from MRC were a low cost option, but I just went to their site to look and they are $63.50. Hardly a deal. I could have sworn they were cheaper when I first saw them.

Sorry thats all I know for now.

Here you go.
http://www.chargery.com/carbattery.asp
The PS5200-2s is on ROARs list of approved packs and I know they are cheap, but you will have to contact them to find out where to buy them. Sometimes they are on Ebay, but I couldnt find any at this time.

Yep. I bought 6 of them 2 years ago when they were first released. All 6 of them are still working fine dispite hundreds of cycles. They are just now starting to fade a little sooner than they used too, So I just replaced them with 5 Flightmax 4000 25c hardcase lipos.

The 3200's are well worth what they cost for sure. You can be very competitive with them , they are quite punchy for only being 20c batteries.Look at my signature, I would recommend them to anyone!

By the way I have my own practice track at home, and 5 vehicles i race, so my batteries get worked hard.

Thanks, just ordered two of them. Free shipping over $100 is a nice bonus. Total was 143.96 with Dean's plugs.

I guess not compared to everyone else on the market for the "ROAR" batteries.
There must be a secret ingredient that ROAR makes them put in the packs to get approval. Platinum? Uranium? I bet if you wrap a soft lipo in $20 bills it would protect it very well, that money is tough to puncture.
