Soldering Lipos

I'm thinking about building lipos from scratch. Deos anyonr know if there is anything special about the foil looking tabs that the leads get soldered to?

Can I just connect tabs together and tabs to deans wire together with 50/50 rosin core silver solder?

Not from what I've read, those tabs require rather noxious zinc compatible flux and zinc solder. All of which seems to be corrosive and smell really bad.

This is teh guy on RCM's lipo repair thread - he has shut the activity down, but it will give you some idea of what you're going to be dealing with.
