Baddest servo on the block PERIOD.

Who's trying to find excuses to replace their 7955's or 5955's with the latest and greatest ?

WoW buck & a half for a servo! Lot closer than horizion got,to what I am comfortable spending, but still a servo plus set of buggy wheels.I still havent installed my 7955 series yet as my 5955 never seem to wear or give up. Maybe in my Baja I should really dust that off & see if it still works.

No doubt that is a good servo but why do Hitec blatantly overate their servos, do they think we buy into the the ratings given. Hitec output ratings are absurd, they should stick to KO Propo's theory and under-rate their servo's.

A bit like Sony claiming they have a 200Watt amplifier when it can only output 200W at a frequency of 1kHz and a THD of .7. The reality is a 100W Marantz or Harmon Kardon will blow the Sony out of the water.

Again I do think the Hitec is a good servo but just get cranky at the ratings they push on us, my 2c.

When my garage door opener dies I'll look into one of these servo's :weird:

Until then...useless power

hmm.. 7955tg 288 @ 7.2V... :weird:

oh well anything over 200 is good for buggy/truggy. it's all about reliability after that and the 7955tg is definitely up there in terms of reliability.

Titanium gear train on the hitecs is worth the $110 for the 7955 or $90 for 5955 if you can find them.Zero wear & holds up much better than brass gears when your truggy hits the wall full speed reguardless of how they rate their servos.Holding torque is not the same as working torque just a different way to rate a servo, just like how big your tool is, is not the same as how long it works. Totally different rating system.

95% of your posts are useless, but thats a whole other topic.

Hitech definitely is one of the leaders in highend servos. I've had two 5955 for three years and they are flawless even bent an aluminum horn and broke off a few servo savers. I'm gonna look into getting a couple of these 7955 just so that for the next 5yrs I wont have to worry about them. Hell maybe I'll even use them for my garage door. :sneaky:

There is absoultly no competition. The new JR high volt servos are the shiznit. The new hitec 7950 and 7940 might give them a good run for their money but I still think the JR servos will win. You cant beat an all alum case top, bottom and middle and they are awesome to look at. I have only used them one race day but the feel is 100% connected. By far my personal fav.

I say the hitec set wins because of great warranty
