LRP Sphere Comp ESC in a Slash??

I am considering brushless in my slash now. I am new to brushless. I do have a LRP Sphere comp I got with an evader I bought on ebay mainly for the radio it came with. I do NOT have a brushless motor yet. I never see anyone running these in a slash or pede at all. I wonder if this ESC is ok for the application? Any recommendations on what motor to get? It can do sensored motors also, again I am not sure to go that way or sensorless? I did pick up a couple zippy lipo packs already. Now I just have to decide to get a motor and run the LRP or sell it and just get a VXL combo?

stick with the lrp and see what the rules at ur track are for that class if its stock you have to use a 17.5 if it not just get a good sensored motor, novak, lrp, trinity just to name a few.
