Traxxas Summit ESC
 

Hey Guys,
I just picked up a used Summit. The guy i bought it from took out the stock electronics and put in a Novak HV brushless system and cut the head off of the stock speed control wire that plugs into the receiver. I want to go back to the stock setup but im not sure the best way of getting that tip back on the EVX-2 speed control. I would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks in advance!

I assume you are asking about the receiver plug on the ESC?
If he cut it off you will just need to solder the wires together and make sure you install shrink tubing on each wire so that they cannot short out against each other. It will never be as pretty as new again, but it will work fine.

yes thats exactly what im talking about! my only concern with soldering the wires together is whether or not it would be waterproof anymore? The truck is being shipped to me, i havent seen it yet. im hoping there is still enough length on the original cable that i can hide the solder joint in the waterproof receiver box. If not im wondering how tough it would be to open up the esc and run a whole new wire.

Does anyone know what "style" connector (ex. futaba, JR) is used on the EVX-2?
