Servo help?

Hello all.

Im running a 3pks, and i want to go futaba bls451 all the way, but damn things are expensive.. and other good suggetions.. for steering..

Take a look at these guys. They sell both Futaba and Hitec servos. Browse through the chart and find a Hitec servo that has similar specs. It might be cheaper...

But spending money on good servos is worth it. They're almost like an heirloom... the cars change, but the servos just keep getting handed down to the next car...

I just added a 3pk radio to my car and a bls451 servo, and saw my lap times drop BIG TIME!

A-Main just had the bls 451 for $90 last week - I race VTA, and it was absolutely worth the money! I put together a spreadsheet comparing a bunch of hitec, futaba, KO Propo and one Orion 1007 weighing price against performance and weight and all that fun stuff and for the money, I couldnt be happier.

The Orion 1007 was my second choice, but I heard some nasty things about the Savox brand (they are re-branded Savox).

And what B_E said is true - the servo it replaced was an Airtronics 93148 (circa 1998)
