personal transponder help?!?!
i have no idea how they work. i am very sick of using the tracks transponders.
|
plug it in your receiver and at your track they will assign your name to it when you race with it and then whenever you look at your laps your name will be in there. or when you,re racing. plug and drive.

Check with your local track and find out what they are using... there are a couple others that are not compatible.. Jerome :tire::tire: |

Each personal transponder from AMB has a unique number, this then gets associated to your name. The handouts have a number but it is unually between 1 and 10. The other option is to buy a transponder from MRT. they can either offer them with 10 numbers, 20 numbers or a copy of your AMB transponder number. The 10 and 20 number options may be limited at a big event since they are not unique number, but the same for everyone who buys a 10 or 20 number transponder.
Personally I got a AMB one to get a personally number, then had a few copies made by MRT. MRT was about $60 each, so a lot less than the originall AMB. That way all my cars have the same TX number. John |

Thats because your track either has an older AMB system that is not digital or another lap "timing" system. Has nothing to do with the software.

This is ture to a point I have three PTX transponders and they have three unique numbers. If I get any more from them I will just have them clone one of the numbers and then most of my cars will have the same transponder number....OR I might send them them one of my AMB transponders and have that cloned.
The three you have do not have "unique" numbers in them. They all have the same first 20 numbers, but the 21st number comes from a pool of numbers that MRT has... they have already been cloned and other people have them. Its a great product... and helps the racers out. |
