best connection

not sure if this is the right area or not. besides direct soldering, whats the best/lowest resistance type of connector? large bullets, traxxas?

The best seems to be Deans/Traxxas.

+1

Deans and Traxxas are essentially the same design, although the Traxxas is a little bigger. I chose Traxxas because I suck at soldering and the Traxxas was easier for me to put together. They are also bigger with a good grip for my big hands. You will be well off with either one.

Thjink large, quality gold plated bullets (5.5-6mm) prob lowest resistance out there, Deans would prob be next.

Choice of which to use will be impacted by how much current you need to run.

true. most 1/10 bl systems can and do pull ~100 amps or more. as far as i know, deans is rated for 40, and traxxas is somewhere around 70, at least according to hobbytown. i thought about bullets, but when i noticed that my bullets on my mamba max were blazing hot, i was not sure, although they are only 4 or 4.5 mm. do they have larger than 6mm, like 8? i just dont like the fact that my deans gets quite hot after running for a bit. heat is resistance and that means less power. i also use 8awg wire whenever possible, as it has far less resistance than 12, and even that gets quite warm.

The best ones I've seen quoted were the Castle 6.5mm, they're 200amp rated and will handle up to 8ga.

I've not seen anything bigger - I guess there is bigger, but you'd prob find it used in robotics or battle bots.
