Servo Current Draw Issue

Hi guys,

problem is with a Bluebird BMS-661 servo, with an LRP QC3 esc, Airtronics MX-3FHSS and AMB transponder.

when i turn everything on, the power to the receiver will continue to turn on and off, and i have tracked the problem to the servo. i have now blown two speedies because of this servo, and was wondering if anuybody knew why or how this could happen.

i am 100% certain that it is the servo, as it no longer works at all, and while i was having trouble it was playing up as well.

is it a problem with the servo/receiver compatibility or is it just bad luck? I have a friend with a similar setup, and they were also having issues with the current draw from the servo (a slightly different BlueBird), but a change in speedy saw this go away...

any help greatly appreciated guys.

cheers

ben

some esc's have a more powerful bec(battery eliminator circuit)than others.i tried a bluebird servo once ,and found it to not be very high quality.this would also probably mean that it would draw more amps as well, which would not help your situation.
