Ever see anything like this???
I bought a T4 from a guy for my grandson and he had this Mamba Max set up like this. All three motor wires were on the minus side of a money motor and the red wire(s) were connected to the plus side. This thing ran for a while then died. I pulled this Mamab out and put a Traxxas ESC in and the motor ran slow then quit. I think right now the motor is burned out. I put in a new money motor with that Traxxas ESC and it runs just fine... very fast too.. Looks like this ESC is for a brushless setup. I installed the software and plugged the mamba max in to the usb port but it doesn't see it. Is this thing junk too?

Yeah, I believe that's how they are wired for a brushed motor, max power mode without reverse. It is intended primarily for non sensored brushless motors. Suggest you download the manual from the castle creations site.

That's good but it doesn't tell me why my computer won't see the unit when plugged in to the USB port. Guess I'll have to call them.
