Spektrum 3.0 range problem?

So I race on a large 8th scale track, and I’ve been having radio difficulties lately. I have a Spektrum DX3.0/SR3100 in my RC8. When standing on the pit lane and making laps, when I get to the far corner of the track, my car has a mind of it’s own, it will throttle up, turn for no reason, etc. If the car flips over on the far part of the track, it will start having a mind of it’s own as well. I’ve noticed the problem isn’t as bad when I am on the drivers stand however. I thought perhaps the antennae may have started slipping down into the radio box and that was causing the problem. It didn’t appear to be too bad…so I don’t know what to do, if I need a new radio/rx because mine doesn’t have enough range, etc. Just to rule out some possible solutions..

1. My batteries in my radio are fresh
2. My rx battery has a full charge
3. It does this with other receivers
4. It does this with other vehicles I have.
5. It does not do this on smaller tracks

I don’t believe those models go together. DSM vs. DSM2.

If that’s not a typo, perhaps that is the problem.

BTW The other way works, the DSM2 DX3R transmitter will work with a DSM receiver like a SR3000.

Probably a typo. I'm using the rx that came with the dx3.0. How much of an improvement would I notice with a dx3r?

I have a 3.0 and a 3R and I really don't notice a difference...
I doubt a 3R would solve the problem you're having. I seen places (indoors) that even the 2.4ghz stuff has glitching prolems because of "dirty air":weird: I have never had a problem but I've seen it.

Check your receiver pack. If the connector is compromised or if there's a broken battery bar on it you could run into issues. We test the daylights out of Spektrum equipment at huge 1/8-scale nitro tracks (All that's in this part of Illinois during the summer months) and have not had issues even at tracks like Lance Norrick's where the World's were held last year. I would also try rebinding to make sure the Guid codes are working properly too.
