I use a spare 7955 to lift my house off the foundation about an inch or so when spraying for bugs.

Price is up $10 from when I ordered mine a couple months ago...

If you shop around, you can find them for less than that. The cheapest price for I have seen for a 7955TG is $102.90 shipped.

I am a believer now to. I run a pair of 7955's in both truck and buggy with a 2 cell lipo unregulated. I am very happy with this setup. I was running futaba servos which are still great but the sheer power and durability of the 7955 along with excellent customer service is second to none.

What kind of receiver do you use? And your receiver can handle it cause i use spektrum pro 3001 if so i will take off my regulator

One time I use direct lipo..... and my 7955TG servos move really really quick.

Awesome.

at tower for $99 ATM, lots less if you get the same emails I do.

Their gears and ability to handle HV is their only claim to fame. Compared to futaba 9156 and 9157 they are weak, especially around centre. When they heat up they get even weaker.

But they have their place and I will be buying more.

All spektrum recievers can handle a direct lipo. I think they are rated to something around 9 volts.

If I am correct the Spektrum RX packs can handle up to 9v striaght to the pack.

I run a 3001 RX Spektrum (non-pro) un-reg on 2s lipo and have had no issues at all.

I just bought 3 7955's and 1 JR Z9100HVt (HighVoltage)

I must say the new cases on the JR High Voltage servos are insane (all ALU), but I do like the Hitec 7955's way better (smoother) and will be buying their HV servos once they finally hit.

No knock on the JR and its 480oz of torque, but I just feel the Hitec's are a little smoother, and I would imagine the Hitec HV servos will be just as smooth as the 7955's.

I would love to get my hands on the JR HV throttle servo, but I really want to wait for Hitec to drop theirs, but it is very tempting to get one since I already have a steering HV from JR.

Only thing is I hope Hitec's HV servos aren't 200 bucks like the JR's are, but as I have heard before.. Whats a couple hundred bucks in RC?? If you can't spend the dough without second guessing you might be in the wrong hobby..:deathstar
