Default What do I charge my LOSB9820 7.4 lipo with

Just going down the 1/8 nitro buggy LIPO route

have an 8 2.0 and now the LOSI lipo 7.4v 2S 2000ma

What charger/ balance charger do I use for this as I've read the LOSI balance lead is different plug.

Do I stick Losi and get LOSI 9603 or 9605,

What do you LIPO users suggest.

Thankyou

If this is correct "7.4 2S 2000mah lipo", that is nowhere near enough battery to move a 1/8 brushless buggy.

Actually he's referring to lipo receiver packs. Both of those chargers will work for a lipo receiver pack, but otherwise any lipo capable charger from any manufacturer will be more than sufficient. But also you should keep in mind depending on what you use for servo's and receivers, you may need to use a regulator.

Hi,

I have the losi regulator to limit to 6v

I also have ace servo's and a spectrum rx
I believe these may well work direct from the lipo, without the regulator but will use thr regulator first to see how it all performs.

I thought the balance lead on the losi lipo had different connector hence why you need a losi charger/balancer

Cheers

The losi receiver pack uses the most common balance plug around so no need to stick with just a losi charger. Oh and just so you know the spektrum receivers can't take an unregulated lipo, so its good you have the regulator!!

Spektrum receivers are rated to use up to 9.6 volts. They work fine unregulated. It's some servos you have to look out for.

Really? i was told by Spektrum that the sr3000's and sr3001's are not able to take an unregulated lipo.

Yeah, the specs on all their packaging and website say 3.5-9.6v. I run a SR3500 unregulated with a 7.4v lipo receiver pack.

The losi pack also does not use the most common plug. I am still unable to find a connector to work for my triton charger and balancer. I made an adapter to work. The losi plug is all by itself as far as compatibility.

My only complaint with it.

The Losi balance connector is the same as Thunder Power uses

Really?

I have a TP-610C w/ Hardware Balancer and a TP-1010C w/ TP-210V balancer and I can't figure out where to plug the 3 pronged female balancer plug on the Losi Lipo. The only place it fits is the Data plug in the charger.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I use a Triton EQ with a squid attachment. Best charging solution I could find for a Nitro guy.

The Squid will connect to everything I have, and the Triton EQ will power my NiMh hump packs, Lipo receiver packs, Lead starter box battery, and my NiCd batteries in my glow plug igniters. (The squid even has a connector for glow plug igniters.)

If you run electric vehicles too, there is a Triton charger that is one more step up and it's power supply will keep up with large lipo packs all day long.
