.02 over
My thunder T6 seems to be charging my 2s lipos .02 over per cell, putting me at 8.44.
How bad is this? --pakk |
I don't think it's a problem, Lipos can handle up to 4.3V.
|
Is that what the charger says or are you checking them with a volt meter? Chargers can be inaccurate. 8.44v is fine anyway though.
|
The charger says 8.4 and 4.2/4.2. My meter says 8.44 and 8.22/4.22. This is my "home" meter. I have a nicer more accurate meter at work. I should probably tripple check it with that.
thanks --pakk |
Suspect its the charger, voltage is a touch off - my Accucel-6 charger was a little off, but it was low. It had a way to calibrate it though so I could adjust.
Is there any tech support for the T6? |
It does not look like there is any support. The manual it came with has no sign of contact. No address, phone number, or even a company name. I guess that is the price of a cheaper charger. I did contact the site I bought it from, hopefully they have some good info.
I went through the directions and it does not look like I can adjust this. I should have mentioned before hand, but it only does this when I balance charger. If I use the normal charge, it charges to 8.4. But if there is no ill affect, I'm fine with leaving this alone. So far, very happy with the charger. It seems to have more features than my 2x more expensive TP-610c and gets the job done. Except for the fact that it charges a little high. --pakk |
The calibration wasn't advertised for the Accucel-6 either, don't know who found it out, but holding down the correct 2 keys when it was powered on sent it to a calibration menu.
Bet yours has something similar as well, maybe someone on the site knows. |

4.3v? Really? So what is the absolute max per cell? |
