M8 won't turn off!

Strange thing happened last week at the races.. The radio was switched off, I put my radio down (stood up), the table was knocked, tipping the radio. I stopped the radio from falling over (it wasn't even close to hitting the surface), and it just turned itself on! The display was on, lights were on, I could navigate the menu, all while the switch was off.

I have the Spektrum Pro module, and it will only activate when the switch if on. The receivers go into safe mode when the switch is off.

I now have to pull the pack out when I put it away.

Is there a common fix for this?

Doesn't the M8 have a "display" switch? This allows you to jack around with the settings without transmitting I think. But it should reset itself if you turn the radio on/off.

I don't know the M8, but on my 3pk there is a switch to turn the screen on which allows you to navigate in the menus and set the TX but it's not emitting..and the power switch is off...so maybe take a look at the user's manual...

You also have to turn the backlight off, as well as the main off switch. The backlight stays on, but the radio is off if you understand me.

The M8 does have a "display" switch that stays on until you switch it back off. Check the display switch.. i bet that's it.
