DX2.0 settings

Hey guys, my brother just picked up a DX2.0 for me from the LHS and I am about to throw it in my E-Revo when I get it. I have some questions however. I am hearing about people frying servos when they don't set their controls up right. Who knows about this, and how you can tell when it's set right? I don't wanna fry a $140 servo when I get it..

edit: just thought of what I saw the issues on, endpoints..

Make sure the servo travels are not set too far. If a servo is jammed or bound up at the end of travel it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on it. Sometimes called EPA, end point adjustment.

For example, on the steering turn the radio all the way each way, then move the suspension up and down, make sure it never binds up.

I was thinking it was something to do with the endpoints but after all it seems it's the ms it's set on. Does the DX2.0 have that adjustable or not?

If you are thinking of Frame Rate, only the DX3R has that I believe. So no, nothing to worry about with a 2.0.

With a 3R, you can't use the 5.5ms Frame Rate setting with analog servos.

Awesome, thank you for the help! Are you sponsored by Losi or Horizon or something, or are you just that knowledgeable from experience with it?

Just experience, I've been around for a while, I have other long term interests and day gig things that relate. We have a 3.0 and 3R.
