HELP!! Just getting back into this.

I am just getting back into the rc scene again after about 10 years. I have several cars/trucks....Losi xx, xxt, Optima Mid, Rustler in 1/10 electrics and a BMT & Ofna HODR in 1/8 gas. I am wanting to buy a brushless motor/esc for my electrics. I am looking at the Losi 1/10 Xcelorin 7500kV Brushless Combo LOSB9576, the 4800kV, the 6400kV, or the Traxxas VXL. My question is which one of these will work the best with my car(s) and why? What is the difference between the 4800, 6400, & 7500? What about reliability between the different systems? Also, I have purchased a pair of HARD Case Yeah Racing Li-Po Racing pack 7.4V 5000 mAh 25C along with a Thunder AC6 Smart 5-in-1 Balance Charger/Discharger. Were these the right choice? I will eventually purchase some 11.1 3s lipos. I have an 11 year old son who loves to play with these as well. We just race around the yard and occasionally we will go to a dirt track......just to race between us not competitively. Any input would be greatly appreciated.:tire:

You will get lots of opinions but it also depends on whether you want to bash only or bash and race. I prefer Novak brushless because they seem to be most dependable. I also like the Orion and Peak Lipos because they use Kokam cells "the best". The choices you made will probably work. I don't know of any tracks that allow 11.3 lipos in any classes other than unlimited. That is a tremendous amount of power.

There is so many things that can make your car run or control better. The equipment you mentioned are good, you cannot go wrong with them. The KV is basically rev per volt, for example 4600 kv means if you use 7.4v battery then you will have 4600x7.4 rev. If you just play with your son, no serious race, you will be fine with your stuff. Have FUN:nod:
