Nomadio react using spektrum receivers

Hi guys, got probs using my nomadio react with spektrum receiver in my RC18.
Downloaded the beta firmware successfully and now I can bind with the DSM sr3000 spektrum receiver. Having big trouble trying to get it calibrated with my stock LRP esc that comes in the rc18r Just won't calibrate or get any signal to the esc. It's weird cause it will drive a throttle servo no problems, but when I try to calibrate the speedy it just won't go through the proper sequence. The same receiver worked with a spektrum dx3.0 radio in my rc18 no probs too.

I had a similar problem with the nomadio tranceiver, using it with my 1/8 scale mamba monster esc setup but that speedy was a lot smarter cause I could hook it up to the computer and increase the calibation time from 1.5sec to 2.5sec. After that it calibrated no probs. Unfortunately the little LRP speedy on the 18th scale is not that clever. Or possibly I'm not that clever and am missing something.

Can anyone help? I really want to use the nomadio as my only radio, I hate swapping wheels.

Anybody know why the nomadio won't let the rc18r speedy calibrate?

Stock associated esc doesnt like spektrum or any 2.4 ghz system at that. Your next cheapest step would be a Novak Spy.

Thx. I have since fried that ESC now with regular use. Just stopped working so might try a brushless setup. Not to hot, want something reliable that I can use for longer runs without too much heat. maybe a 7000kv on lower gearing. Have seen too many guys go for those 9500kv setups and the whole setup just cooks. real hot after 5 minutes.
