Budget servos question...
 

I am going to be racing 1/8 scale nitro buggy, running a mbx5r... I understand that servos arent something you usually want to budget, but at the same time right now I have too. My question is what are some great budget servos and by budget i mean 60 and under, not looking for 120-140 dollar a piece servos right now, I am going out there to have fun, and this is my first endeavor in offroad racing.

I've tried cheaper servo's in 1/8th scale in my early racing years, and they don't last long. Usually, they are weak, slow, and the gears strip or just quit all together. The cheapest servo I would recommend is the ace 1313, futaba 9451, or hitec 7985 at about $75 each.

If you buy cheap servos, you'll end up paying more in the long run because they will break and then you'll have to replace them.

I've had good luck with Hi Tec digitals in my 1/8 scale nitros. They are metal gear and come in many different torque/speed configs. Usually run around $55-$80 bucks. They did just switch to a new HS-79XX series, not sure on the pricing on those.
