problem with radio.

so i bought a complete set of radio and reciever off from a member on here, it's Airtronic M8 with spektrum module and receiver. i brought it to big parking lot today and the radio was lost control like at around 100 - 150 feet away, checked the all the batteries and they're seem fine, i noticed the antenna wire on the reciever is too short, could it the problem? will it improve if i extend the wire? please help thanks!

Spektrum receivers do have short antennas... don't expect to see the long antenna wire like an FM radio uses. I'd call Spektrum and ask what the proper length for the receiver antenna is for yours and see if it's correct before trying to make it longer. An antenna that is too long will detune your receiver and reduce range just as a too-short antenna can.
