Servo grommets necessary for brushless setups?
Are servo grommets necessary for brushless setups to dampen any vibration.
If so, are the brass bushing inserts necessary because I can only find circular grommets for my JR 9100 on Ebay, but they do not show/include the brass bushings? |

I've never run grommets with any of mine, but I do use a servo clamp that holds the servo and prevents breaking the ears off the case. I'm of same mind as Drifting101 - grommets are not going to provide much in the way of dampening with the shock these things see in landings and tumbles.

Servos have come a long way since the 70s.... if you are having problems wearing out servos from suspected vibrations, you need to get past the $20 servo and get something in the $50-$100 range. I have had top servos last 10 years of racing in all sorts of cars.
