DX3S frame rate question

I have a new DX3S radio that I installed in my new HPI 5T. The servos in the truck are anolog. What frame rate do I need for these servos? The reason why I ask is when I hooked up the servos the steering servo would not work. I called HPI and the said the servo was burned up caused by the frame rate being wrong and HPI said it should be set to the 11 mil. sec rate . Spectrum said that you can't change the frame rate. Is this true? I need to know before I potentially burn up another servo.

True.

Do you think that the radio is what burned up the servo or was it a defective servo from the factory? I think it was a defective servo myself. Either way Hpi is replacing it under warranty.

Maybe you should contact Spektrum and see if your HPI servo is compatible with their radio system, or if there is a solution for it.

The DX3S only has one frame rate, 11 m/s. We have a Baja 5b here in the office and I, while I haven't run it with the DX3S as of yet I did set it all up and it worked fine.

Thats what I was thinking. I hooked another HPI steering servo that I had up to the same port and it worked fine. So I think it was defective from the factory.
