Charging AAA's

Is there a way to charge AAA's with my venom pro charger?

Remember I'm stupid so talk slow and use small words, pictures are even better.

Same way as others chargers - you know the 4 cell AA holder than comes with an rtr to power the onboard electronics - you can use one of those or they make a 8 cell holder as well. From there, its just a connection problem - these holders are a jst type connection and you need an adapter. Heres a 4 cell holder -

And the 8 cell -

1amp is max charge advised rate for AAs, you can go higher but life suffers. I don'tthink this is the bestway to charge them, but its only way I've seen using a hobby charger.

I just haven't seen a very good charger for AAA's. All the ones that I see kinda look like junk and most only do 4 batts at a time. I suppose maybe that would be alright, I just thought I already got the venom.

husk, here is one from a company called Maha
http://www.mahaenergy.com/store/view...?idProduct=422

it charges 8 at a time with capacity indicator, dont know how well the indicator works, but seems like the mini-z group like it very much.

there is another 8 cell charger on the site, take a look at that one too.

hope this helps

oh, i use their AAA before and it's pretty good cell, so i assume the charger is good also.

Before my Nikon took a dump, I used a lot of AAs powering it. I found a digicam sponsored AA batt competition that was won by Powerex brand, made by Maha in Japan. I'd never heard oif them, but bought a dozen back in '03 and are still using 7 of them, although at reduced capacity. I quit counting after 500 cycles.

I did the 8 cell holder deal for a while charging them on an Ice charger and started to notice batts on one side were hotter than others then figured out it was how far down the wire they were and went to a 4 cell holder. That was a little better but still showed signs of uneven charging. The charges were good enough to run tx with but I could notice them not delivering the # of pics the hotter side AAs were giving. I bought a Maha MH-C204F charger by Maha - charges 4 at once in pairs and discharges as well. The later model 204F trickle charges after peaking to make sure cells are fully topped off. Will do AAs and AAAs and has been a solid charger and has seen heavy use.

I bought a new dozen Powerex AAs in '08 and went for Mahas new MH-C9000 Wizard One, Charger Analyzer for AAs and AAAs. It does things I've never heard of mainly in area of restoring batt performance. As well as charge, discharge, and cycle it has a refresh/analyze mode and a break-in mode. Its a super charger, but its a high end AA/AAA charger and expensive. These guys are distributor and where I've been buying Maha products but they sell just about everybrand as well -

Like mentioned above, they have other chargers as well - Mahas AAs won that competition and their chargers earned high praise as well.

Here's an 8 cell charger that does a more than just charge -

and here's the c204f model -

here goes a good charger that i got that charges all my batteries from the remotes to the glow plug starters. Not only does it charges the batteries you can also discharge them.
