need a servo
 
ok im lost...
ive always just purchased the cheapy futaba 10 dollar servos.
they are fine for driveway play but i need something better

this is going in a ta05 project.
would like to spend under 40 dollars if possible.

what would you recommend?

Look for the Hitec HS-625MG if you want higher speed:

Or look for the Hitec HS-645MG if you want higher torque:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUZ89&P=ML

Both of these servos are very good and they are under your $40 price mark.

what application would a high speed be better than a high torque?
or visa versa?

Normally if you are using it in off-road (Monster Trucks, Large scale buggy's ect.) you would want the torque and onroad or 1/10th off-road you would want the speed. If you do not plan on racing then you really can choose which ever you want. They are both really good servos and you will be happy with which ever one you choose.

found that speed servo on ebay for 29 + 4 shipping

better than tower!
ordered it.
