ESC problem, possible solutions?
I have a novak super sport brushless esc coming to me. I was told that it only works if you give the car a push. I don't know if the person i'm getting it from had tried other motors or not. Any ideas? Possible programming issue?

You should definately check to make sure that all of the connections have been made properly:
Sensor harness is fully seated into the ESC... none of the sockets are comming out of the plastic housing, etc. All three motor phase wires are properly soldered to the motor Blue to A Yellow to B Orange to C If it doesn't work like that, give another known-to-work motor a try. At that point if it is still giving you the "push start" problem, I would say the ESC has a problem with one of the power phases. I would check out our website to see the upgrade options we have available for the Super Sport ESC. www.teamnovak.com |
Thanks for the info Steve, we'll see what happens when it comes in. I guess i didn't expect an answer directly from novak on here lol.

I thought there was a flaw with the older SS escs that made them do that???
