Safe Battery Storage?

I inherited some nice battery packs. I've been using the standard packs where the ends of the batteries are covered. These packs are the built-up kind with the ends exposed.

Does someone make a good box to put them in so that they can't short each other out? I'm going to try to make some dividers in a old cigar box for now. But, I've got to imagine I'm reinventing the wheel here.

Please give me your suggestions.

Thanks,

Scott

I have a promatch one that's really nice. They're only like 15 bucks

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the fast help!

I made one for about $7. I picked up an aluminum carrying case from Harbor Freight Tools for $7.99. Then I went over to an automotive upholtry shop and asked them if they had any scrap foam and scored a nice square block. I cut out some slots for my packs and presto, battery case!

Those are called side-by-side pacs......Get yourself a used Novak Smart tray and keep them in tip top shape!!

Funny you should mention the Novak Smart Tray! I bought (4) matched packs and a Novak Smart Tray and a Venom alignment jig for $50! And, they are from a friend, so I know the batteries are good. He switched to Lipo. That created a bargain for me! I worked on all four packs last night and they are all happy. Sweet.

Use the tray and your new pacs will appreciate it - it makes mine perform better. Batt building is not that hard especially if you are decent at soldering and have a good iron.
