as a fellow rcer said to me 6 years ago when I started. Buy the best electronics you can afford. They are the things that you keep the longest. chassis' come and go but the radio equipment is timeless(almost).

for example , I have an M8(highend, even now) with spektrum for $100 plus shipping. A couple spektrum receivers from the market and yer set for as long as you want.
