Default 2.4 ghz FASST - hiding the rx antenna

hello, i've just recently switched to 2.4ghz and was wondering if it's OK to keep the RX antenna inside the body (for that "antenna-less" look) instead of having it stick out the usual way.
will this cause issues with range, reliability and whatever else?
i'm using a futaba 3pm-fasst system on a hotbodies cyclone S touring car, and was planning not to bore a hole in the body for the antenna, and just have the antenna pipe curved/"lying-down" inside...
thanks!

I run my cars on a very large 1/8th track and have never had a problem with mine that way. One thing i do to the antenna is to wrap it around a ziptie(not engaged) and after its wrapped i then zip the ziptie so it creates a loop. When you do it this way the wire never crosses itself and is very compact and out of the way. clip off excess tie and apply a dab of shoe goo (very little) on the ziptie and place on the side of the receiver.

I know this sounds strange so i will post a pic tonight for you to see if you want.

That sounds like a great tip, never thought of that. I may have to steal it, err I mean borrow it from you...
