Default Best Value 1/8 Off Road Servo's ?

Hi All,

Just looking for some servo advice.

I had an RC8 with two Ace DS1015 servo's. Recently the steering servo went BANG !

I am currently building my new Hotbodies D8 and am looking to replace the broken servo and maybe have a spare. (When I raced 1/10th electric off road years ago servo's would never break)

What would be the best value and most suitable replacement and if there is any good deals going let me know also as in times of recession every penny counts.

I am in Ireland so UK model shop is most preferential but I can order from anywhere in the world as I have a few weeks before next race.

Brian, I am pretty new but have purchased a losi RTR and upgraded the servos after a little running. I went with these

I have also been happy with this shop as I have purchased everything so far from them. I think they even ship world wide. They have a live chat on the webpage so you may get a estimate on shipping.

Hitec 7955 or the older 5955 are the only thing to run in 1/8th scale. They are rock solid and are backed by the best warranty/customer service in the business.

Was wondering when some one was going to mention Hitecs - have had real good luck with them!

have one of these on the steering of a Hyper 7

and i have a Hitec 5997 on the throttle brake. the differnece really is the speed between the 2.. the steering servo is slower but produces almost twice the torque... im gonna steal the 5997 and use it in my slash. prolly gonna replace both eventually with the new breed of hitecs...programmable!

the problem with the ace1015's was the case, the pins that the gears ride on went straight into plastic, but they have upgraded the cases, and the problem should be non-existent now, I just put a new case on my 1015 that was shaking really bad, it fixed it right up. The ace 1313 is great too, the 178 ounces of the 1313 are good enough for a truggy, it's a really good deal as well
