Sidewinder or Mamba Max

What are your thoughts? Its about an $80 price difference. Its going in my T4. It seems as the Max has more adjustments, but with my radio I can do all those adjustments.

$60 diffrence

the MM has the same adjustments as the sidwinder
MM can handle a higher KV/larger motor
MM runs cooler
MM has external solder tabs, the sidewinder does not.
MM doesn't need a castle link, sidewinder does($25-$30)

need any more resions not to get the sidewinder?

MM will handle a lot more amps, but I don't see why you'd need the extra. Sidewinder looks like a good choice.

The Sidewinder is fine as long as you don't run over a 5700kv motor. In a truck you will never need more than that at any track you go to. Theibig difference I have found is the Sidewinder rewuires 10% more drag brake vs the MM. I run 30% on the Max and when I use my Sidewinder I use 40%.

You can get the Sidewinder 5700 or 4600 for about $132 shipped on ebay. The Sidewinder is a beast! I have both, but the Sidewinder would be my first choice when the price difference is taken into consideration. When you run it in any 2wd 1/10th scale vehicle it will be more power than you'll ever need.

i do miss my maxx already, but this sidewinder is a very good piece and a better pricepoint for most. depends on application. honestly if u race, i'd get the SW, if u bash or play drag hero on ur block w/ur friends, go MM.

I agree. the SW w/ a 5700kV is a monster, and a cheap source of power at that. I'm running this setup in an RC10T4, this is about 5x more power than this truck really needs.
