Default Any other Transmitter worth looking at ?? DX3R DX3S M8 M11 Helio UC 3PK

Well i been browsing couple stores the past few days to check out transmitters.
And like ppl stated, how they "Feel"

Various of LHS let me try out some Transmitters.
DX3R
DX3S
I like the weight of the spectrums alot not too heavy and has all the nick nacks. It does feel different compare to lower transmitters. The car handles different when i drive it. Makes me faster Probably not. I suck LMAO

M8
M11
Airtronics one felt very Profesional Hi tech Heavy. Like you are about to Dominate someone with Super Hightech. It does have a comfi feel to it for its weight. But i didnt like it much, that display really over whelmed me. Has about the same feel as the DX3R in use with added weight.

Helio
I didn't like the feel of it much in stock form. Felt like my MX-3S.
Helio with the the extension was great feel !
The design is a bit to get used to. Had all the feautures i need less than the above Transmitters.

Futaba
Had really nice prices on the transmitters but they felt like my ordinary Transmitter. The 3PK i didn tliek the feel at all.

Are there any others Reciever i should check out before i make a decission ?
I am mainly looking for something that acts fast, the temp speed and sensors is not needed. And less Glitchyness.

I recently bought an Acoms Technisport 2.4gHz radio and for the price I think it's an excellent buy. It has worked flawlessly for me so far and has enough bells and whistles to keep me busy. The receiver is about the smallest I have ever seen. I've just bought a second receiver at $55 Cdn shipped which is an amazing price. I did some research and found that JR also sell this radio set as the Cobra. Might be worth a look.

Agreed! Only 4 AA's to run it and plenty of adjustable variables with 30 model memory.

www.thebarnfloor.com has them the cheapest right now (~$260 after you add it to your cart).

Well Price Point wise the DX3S seems to be very appealing.
But is the DX3R really that much better with that DSM2 that its worth getting ???

To me the DX3S would be overkill already ...

And the M11 what batteries does it use and how fast does it kill them ???

Having driven both DSM and DSM3, I'd say the DSM2 is worth the extra$$. This goes to driving feel... I definitely feel more connected to the car with DSM2.

My first 2.4 setup was the Spektrum module in an M8. I did definitely feel like I was less "in touch" with the car than with FM, but the freedom from frequency conflicts made it worth it. When Airtronics came out with their own 2.4 syste,m, I switched to it. Felt better than the original Spektrum, definitely an improvement. DSM2 is better still.

I am a m11 guy and love it, but it does eat batterys. I use rechargeables though and charge them in my m11 via my pulsar 3. I use a spektrum pro module.

The Dx3r is a nice piece. I like that one alot too from driving others cars.

the dx3s is not equal to the dx3r. there is a thread in the electric off road forum where someone points out key differences.

DX3r. Easy to use. Lightweight. 4 batteries w/ long life too. Spektrum 3100 micro reciever included.

I like Futabas but I don't like their 2.4. Holding the M11 reminds me of holding a 14V cordless drill. KO's are great but don't seem very user friendly.
When I decided on getting my DX3R, I was also up in the air on the Futaba 4PK. What helped me make my decision was that the price of a DX3R with servos was still less than the price of a 4PK without servos

M11 is a cut above the others--I have had most of the radios you listed (except the dx3r and 3s) and the m11 just lets you control and place the car better. You will get over the weight and size within 2 days of ownership.

Dx3r has an awful trigger location and feel. The brake tension is far too stiff for my tastes.

OK my 2 cents!

The M8 was a grat radio and the M11 just doesn't have the same balance of feel. It is top heavey and awkward. Also the wheel on mine did not like to center even after reapir, just did not feel precise.

I have the Helios which I find very precise and works flawlessly. It feel great with the drop down wheel and a lipo pack. Lightwieght balanced, etc.

Have you looked at the 4pk as well as the UR by KO thier new 2.4 system is so quick and very dialed. The UR has a great feel with the drop down and easy to navigate menu.

Any choice you make will not be a bad one after you get used to it, the most important thing is does it feel right in your hand like it is not there.

go with what radio feels good in your hand, then worry about features.
