Brushless esc, all the same ?

Hi all,
I 'd like to change my esc in my B4 so i'm looking at all the esc on the market and at the end i feel like they're all the same, almost.

Venom 120A = Speed passion GT= Hobbywing 120A = Lrp sphere.

I can see that the GTB, the new Team wave Rb50, the Tekin Rs and the new Orion change shape and a little the specifications but at the end am i wrong saying they're all very close ?

I run mod 2wd class, next year with lipo.
which one do you believe is the lethal weapon ?
Anyone knows what is the "inside electronic thing that makes the difference"?

I'm kinda lost here...:weird:
Thanks.

The Venom, speedpassion, and hobbywing are the exact same esc with different stickers and paint. The sphere, GTB, team wave, and tekin are all totally different inside, but still perform the same functions. For Mod 2wd, feel is very important since you have to be smooth to lay the power down and for such a task the sphere and Tekin seem to be the ones to beat for smoothness. I run all Tekin rspro esc's in my cars (T4, B4, B44) and absolutely love them. They are small and smoooooth.

I have owned a gtb, sphere, sphere comp 07, mamba max, mamba monster, RS, and RSpro and used many others and after testing a TON I sold all my brushless esc's and went with the Tekin RSpro.

Thanks!

Since i will not run less than 6,5 turns i guess i can go for the Tekin RS, why do almost everyone run the RS Pro even with 17,5 motors ?

Do you manage to fine setup the esc without the hotwire or do you really need it ?

Thanks again.

The hotwire is only necessary if you are running in a spec class (17.5, 13.5, or 10.5) in order to adjust the timing. You can easily adjust what you need for mod on the esc itself including drag brake, total brake, motor type, reverse enable/disable/delay, throttle profile, voltage cutoff, current limiter, and neutral width.

Most just run the pro because they can:D
