Exploding Lipos
I have recently purchased a xxx-4 roller and now am in the market for something to power it. So far the Havoc Sport 8.5 sounds appealing, and I love the great price ($140 dollars). As for the battery, I'm in a sort of a dilemna.
Will a 15C, 4000 mAh battery (60 cont. amps, 100 burst) be enough to power that 8.5 system? How about a 20C, 3200 mAh battery (64 cont. amps, 120 burst)? I don't need the best in power.. and I don't really care if they don't last really long.. I'm just wondering if they will explode or not.. |
I wouldnt risk it

I don't see any risk.
You're talking about 1/10 scale here. 60amp spikes are rare. Either of those batteries will work fine. |
dead lipo?
hi,
sorry to borrow this thread... i've got a 'drained' lipo; any ways to revive or it's going to the trash? |
Try charging it as a NiMh at 1C for about 20min, then stop and see if you can still charge it as a LiPo... this is what I had to do with one of my 3s 2200MAH flight packs. It works great now. Just make sure you monitor the temp.
